Agreed, his goal was to go beyond shinigami and hollow and become a god, but his new form has no characteristics of a shinigami or a god at all, he's just like a normal hollow...

I'm very disappointed in Aizen, he used to be such an awesome villain... Now he just reminds me of Tousen's horrendous hollow form... And to make things worse, for some reason, he totally abandoned his zanpakutou's abilities. He'll most likely bring his bankai out at some point of course, but I don't like that he'd rather use brute strength and big ass explosions, that's not his style...

However, Ichigo is once again amazing, he's back to his old badass self. I really like how he throws back at Aizen every insult and mockery he ever received from him.

Well it seems that a "god" can't be created by even the hougyoku. Instead it has turned him into a hollow above other hollows. I don't think he'll ever use his Bankai because he's sacrificed his sword powers for "god"/hollow powers.

I don't think so. Aizen wanted to go beyond the limits of a shinigami, not abandon his shinigami powers. And he abandoned the idea of hollowfication long ago because he looks down on hollows even moreso than on shinigami.

A perfect hybrid or a god, call it whatever you want, should combine powers from both species. And we've seen already that he still has his Kido (shinigami ability), so it'd make no sense for him to abandon his zanpakuto abilities which are his strongest weapon (at least shinigami-wise).

If he really doesn't have his zanpakuto abilities though, I doubt he abandoned them willingly. It'd be because of the hogyoku, which apparently turns him more and more into a hollow and the sad part is, he doesn't seem to even realize it...

Aizen's new form is kinda reminding me of Ichigo's hollow form in his fight against Ulquiorra. It seems the more "powerful" he becomes, the more like a hollow he becomes too, and the less he seems to affect Ichigo. Does anyone think the three hollow holes Aizen has now have any significance?

About the holes, maybe, perhaps they are a representation of the three species, shinigami, hollows, humans?
I think that's the kind of hybrid Aizen was aiming to become, but since he seems to become more and more hollow like, that sounds unlikely I think...

But Aizen has become more hollow, whether he likes it or not. You can tell by his appearance. We haven't seen if he still retains his Zanpaktou after this recent transformation.

Yeh i know that fact he has spikey teeth, weird floaty headys with spikey teeth an shoots rather big exploady cero type things.

Sorta does look cool but yeh i get what you mean with him not knowing that hes become so hollowfied without realising, though im sure he will retain zanpaktou it be weird if he lost it but kept his kido abilities.

Because the hougyoku would balance the Shinigami and hollow sides, no?

And as for him keeping his Shinigami powers, so far he seems to have gone so "insane" that yes Aizen is relying on trying to simply overpower Ichigo and nothing else.
