They are so inadequate that they resort toward brainwashing techniques to convince their believers - they are the one and only religion / truth. Using the fear of God and death, to turn unbelievers into believers. Also in past centuries - they simply murdered anyone who stood in their way, or disbelieved them...

Absurd can also be talking about Absurdism, which is philosophy where there is no meaning of life, but the journey of finding the meaning of life itself has meaning. Or something like that, go search it up yourselves. Anyways, religion is in fact absurd if we take the Absurdist view, I'm not Christian, but I'm sure that a part of is that the point of living is to serve god? Then isn't that absurd because people are trying to put meaning in their lives by saying that the meaning of life is serving god? Which means religions are in fact absurd. i don't get why the point of living would be serving god either. i'd say your life has a point when you're doing the things you enjoy. it's YOUR life... i mean sure if serving god is the thing you want to do then alright but i can't see it as some general thing like "the" point of living

If you read the discussion, you'd see that the religion-is-a-pile-of-bullshit side would have a loooot of ways to point out why no, it is not "all good." It usually leads to all sorts of nasty things, ranging from simple examples like simply filling your head with images of a fiery afterlife from a young age to more nasty ones like hate crimes and war. Simply believing in something can lead to very, very bad things... which is all discussed throughout this debate. On this page, even. If you want the Cliff Notes version, just read what AE posts. Kind of flame-worthy to say "it's all good" by this point though >_>

wow you're really not getting the jist of what i'm saying so i'll put it in simple terms because you're skills of deduction are about as advanced as a monkey trying to learn how to operate the hadron collider, the only point ive being trying to make is that a good amount of what religion says is sound but certain people take certain things that is said in the bible or quran or whatever and take it to the extereme and that is one of the major reasons religon is scorned upon in this day and age as well aethiests no longer needing spiritual guindance... that is it.

ive told you before. And ill say it again. The Good amount of what religion says, is NOT SOUND AT ALL. If we were to, for example, look at the bible, i would say that over 70% of it is utter BAD, WRONG advice. Even some of what Jesus said, is bad. The old testament is 3 times longer than the new testament, and yet the old testament is 90% wrong, and the new testament is about 60% wrong.

A good amount of what religion says, is NOT sound at all. That is the bullshit you've been spewting.
