Why You Want This Position: I'm not good enough with photoshop to be a cleaner, and due to an irregular work schedule, I may not be able to provide enough time to typeset. I like writing and reading, and I am good at proofreading.
Your Time Available: Tuesday-Thursday Evenings, all day Sunday, Monday morning/afternoon; Friday and Saturday will vary depending on my work schedule. If I am accepted for this position, I will update my available time weekly as my schedule is posted.
Experience: I have never proofread for a scanlation site before, however, I have proofread many papers for my friends in college and I worked as a beta reader for a few authors on fanfiction.net. I was designated proofreader in my senior english class in high school.

Notes:
I had two problems proofing this script. The first was: which name was correct? Bichula, or Bicula? I am not familiar with this manga, and I wasn't sure which was the correct spelling. I went with Bichula, since in the sample I saw it with the 'h' more times than without. The second problem was with the third line on page 14, "I'm going to be getting on a train soon." I don't know who is saying it, and I didn't know if I should change tenses (as if it was a flashback), leave it be (if it was a passerby), or put it in quotations (as if Nami was saying it).

Hi and sorry for the wait.  After looking over your proofreading I found a few mistakes.  The first is here:
-There is a hope that you don't give up until the end for.
The for should be taken out as it does not fit with the sentence.  Or it could be place at the start of the next sentence and read:
-There is a hope that you don't give up until the end.  For the next move is...?

The next mistake I found was here:
-Welcome, how fortunate to have you with us today <3
-Welcome, how fortunate we are to have you with us today <3

The next one was just a mistake in punctuation.
-Like I said: / there aren't any traces left at the station.
No need for the colon there.  It can be taken out.

Then finally something very small:
-That's the place where some one who helped me died.
-That's the place where someone who helped me died.
It's a very small mistake, but someone is one word in this case. 

Unfortunately, you had a few too many mistakes to pass your first test.  However, we believe that everyone deserves another chance, maybe even two.  So, if you would like to try again, you may proofread the script I posted below.  Once you finish that you may post it here and I'll look through that one as well.  Oh, and I highly suggest making a hotmail account and downloading Windows Live Messenger.  Most of the team here communicates through that.  You can find most of our msn email's in our profiles.  Feel free to contact me anytime about your application.  Hopefully my review of your proofreading helped in some way.
